A dusty brown-yellow colour. Two K tiles (5pts each) plus H=4 delivers 16 base points from just 5 letters. On a DWS that's 32 points — exceptional for a common word.

Color Word Strategy
AZURE uses Z without waste: At only 5 letters with Z=10 as backbone, AZURE gives 14 points while preserving tiles for your next play. More efficient than longer Z words that lock up your rack.
FUCHSIA as a bingo target: At 7 letters, it qualifies for the 50-point bonus (65 total). Hold F, C, H when you have common tiles — U, S, I, A are all high-frequency draws.
KHAKI's double-K advantage: Most players avoid holding two K tiles. But KHAKI turns that liability into 16 points instantly. When you see K-K on your rack, think KHAKI before exchanging.
💡 Key Insight
Color words rarely get challenged because opponents recognise them as real English words. Unlike obscure scientific terms, AZURE and KHAKI are safe plays that won't be disputed.
