Data Management — Nuke, Download & Relink

All your data (saved words, achievements, settings) lives in your browser's localStorage. Here's how to manage it:

đŸ“Ĩ Download Your Data

Go to Settings and click Download Backup. This exports all your saved words, scores, and achievements as a JSON file you can keep safe.

🔗 Relink on Another Device

Your anonymous User ID (UUID) is the key to your data. To access your saved words on another browser or device:

  1. Copy your UUID from Settings on your current device
  2. On the new device, go to Settings → Restore
  3. Paste your UUID and click Restore — your words and achievements will sync

đŸ’Ŗ Nuke localStorage

Need a fresh start? The Nuke button in Settings permanently deletes ALL local data — saved words, achievements, preferences, and your User ID. This cannot be undone.

âš ī¸ Always download a backup before nuking. Once gone, there's no way to recover your data without the UUID.
