The Word Solver accepts up to 15 letters (the maximum word length in Scrabble). The Tile Rack accepts 7 tiles (your standard rack). Both sync bidirectionally — type in either one.

Yes! While the dictionaries are optimised for Scrabble (SOWPODS/TWL), most words are valid in Words With Friends too. The scoring will differ since WWF uses different tile values, but the word validity is largely the same.

The theoretical maximum is OXYPHENBUTAZONE across two Triple Word Scores (1,778 points). In real competitive games, the highest-scoring plays are 7-letter "bingos" that earn a 50-point bonus on top of the word's tile value — often scoring 70-100+ points. Words using Q without U are the most challenging — QI, QADI, QOPH, QANAT, and QINTAR require knowing the full list of Q-without-U words and having specific board positions available.
