Scrabble Words Ending in -LESS — Negation Adjective Bingos
The -LESS suffix is a bingo machine. It turns any short root into an 8-letter negation adjective — FECKLESS, RECKLESS, HELPLESS. With L, E, S, S on your rack, you only need 4 more tiles to hit that 50-point bonus. FECKLESS leads at 17 points base before premium squares, and the double-S means you're using two of the most common tiles in the bag.

-LESS Bingo Strategy
Hold L+E+S+S: When you see these four tiles on your rack, start thinking -LESS. You need exactly 4 root tiles (or 3 + a board letter) for an 8-letter bingo. The double-S is your signal.
Target K and F roots: K(5pts) and F(4pts) roots give -LESS words their highest base scores. FECKLESS and RECKLESS both use K. RUTHLESS uses H(4). These consonant-heavy roots are the premium plays.
8 letters = perfect bingo: Most -LESS words are exactly 8 letters — that's 7 from your rack plus one tile already on the board. Look for an open E, R, or S to extend through.
💡 Key Insight
-LESS creates negation adjectives from almost any noun or verb root. Unlike -FUL (which affirms), -LESS denies — meaning for every -FUL word your opponent knows, there's often a -LESS counterpart they haven't considered.
