Three-letter words serve four critical strategic purposes:

Place a word adjacent to existing tiles, forming multiple 2 and 3-letter words simultaneously. One play scores 3-4 words at once.
🎯 Board Control
Short words keep the board tight. You score in restricted spaces where longer words won't fit, denying opponents premium squares.
♻️ Rack Balance
Dump 1-2 awkward tiles while keeping your bingo-friendly letters. Play QI to ditch the Q, then draw toward SATIRE on your next turn.
🪝 Hook Setup

The most powerful use of three-letter words is the parallel play — placing your word alongside an existing word so that every adjacent pair forms a valid two or three-letter word.
