Strategy for Playing W Without Adjacent Vowels
Scan the board for R and N columns: If an R or N is already on the board, you can hook W before it (WR-) or build a word ending -WN through it.
Use -WN words to avoid vowel-heavy spots: If the only open area is surrounded by consonants, -WN words slot in perfectly.
Target premium squares with the W tile: At 4 points per tile, a W on double-letter earns 8, on triple-letter earns 12 — substantial from a single tile.
Don't hold W waiting for a vowel: If you've had W for 2+ turns without playing it, look for these consonant patterns instead of waiting for the perfect WA/WE/WI slot.
