OXYGEN is a sleeper: At 17 points base, OXYGEN uses common tiles (O, Y, G, E, N) alongside X. It's 6 letters and frequently overlooked because players don't associate it with X-word strategy.
Extend short X words: If someone plays BOX, you can hook -ING to make BOXING. If FOX is on the board, add -ED for FOXED (16 pts). Mid-X extensions are low-effort, high-reward plays.
