Strategy for Music Words
JAZZ is the ultimate short scorer: At 29 points from 4 tiles, JAZZ has one of the highest ratios possible. If you have J and both Z tiles, play JAZZ immediately.
RHYTHM for consonant-heavy racks: No standard vowels needed. When your rack is all consonants plus Y, RHYTHM turns disaster into 17 points.
FA is the best solfège note: FA scores 5 points (F=4, A=1) — as much as most 3-letter words. Use it for parallel plays when the board is tight.
💡 Key Insight
JAZZ, WALTZ, and RHYTHM together use J, Z, Z, W, and zero standard vowels. Music words specialise in the hardest tiles — memorise them for difficult racks.
