Play POST as an opener or early word: POST on the center star scores 12 (DW). On your next turn, extend it to POSTING, POSTAL, or POSTPONE. Your opponent cannot easily block a back-extension because dozens of valid suffixes exist. The 6-point investment becomes a 60+ point return.
Target POSTFIX for maximum value: POSTFIX scores 19 points base — the highest for any common POST word. With the X on a TL square, that X alone contributes 24 points. Position the word so X lands on Triple Letter for devastating results (potentially 40+ points before word multipliers).
