Words With Four Vowels in a Row — Scrabble Vowel Dumps
When your rack looks like a vowel factory — AEIIOOU — most players despair. But words with four or more consecutive vowels exist specifically for this situation. They let you dump 3-5 vowels in a single play, rebalancing your rack for stronger draws next turn. QUEUE, SEQUOIA, AQUEOUS — these aren't just novelty words, they're rack-management tools.

SEQUOIA — The Ultimate Vowel Dump
SEQUOIA
16 pts · 7 letters · Uses all 5 vowels (A, E, I, O, U) · Bingo eligible (+50)
The only common English word that uses every vowel exactly once. At 7 letters, it earns the 50-point bingo bonus for 66 total points. If your rack is AEIOQUS or similar, SEQUOIA is the dream play — dumping 5 vowels while scoring a bingo. Requires Q + S + the right 5 vowels.
Practical Vowel-Heavy Words (3+ Vowels)

Strategy for Vowel-Flooded Racks
Dump 3+ vowels per play: Don't settle for playing just one vowel at a time (IT, AT, ON). Use ADIEU (4 vowels), AUDIO (4 vowels), or OURIE (4 vowels) to clear your rack fast. One good vowel dump now beats three mediocre plays later.
QUEUE needs planning: At 14 points, QUEUE is excellent — but it requires Q + two U's + two E's. If you have Q on a vowel-heavy rack without U, QUEUE isn't happening. Know your alternatives: QI (11 pts) dumps Q without needing U-heavy setups.
Accept lower scores to fix your rack: Playing ADIEU for 6 points while dumping 4 vowels is often better than playing a 12-point word that only uses 1 vowel. The improved rack next turn will earn back the difference and more.
Exchange as last resort: If your rack is truly hopeless (AAIIUUO), exchanging 5-6 tiles is valid strategy. But first check: can you play AIOLI (5 pts, dumps 4 vowels)? Even a low-scoring play beats losing your entire turn to an exchange.
